Founded in 2011, Grateful Gardening Services is a fine garden company specializing in creating, consulting, and maintaining garden spaces for homeowners and businesses.
We are the collaborative effort of Jason Bond and Anne Kaufmann. With our past training, work experience, and horticulture education, we create a unique experience for every client.

With over 20 years of hands-on experience designing and gardening in WNC, a Landscape Gardening degree from Sand Hills College, and multiple certifications from the landscape industry, we are still continuing education.
Our Story
With a Landscape Gardening degree and a concentration in landscape design from Sandhills Community College, Jason grew up gardening in Asheville honing his skills with his grandfather’s guidance. Jason brings his knowledge and creative skills to your home to help guide you with your outdoor space.
Anne has been an avid gardener and plant enthusiast since she first moved to Asheville in 1995 to pursue her career in pottery and love for the mountains. Gardening was a natural progression from pottery keeping her hands deep in the clay soil of the area.
Anne joined Jason in Grateful Gardening Services in July 2020 after leaving the wine industry. While she still loves all things food and wine, she’s always spent a lot of time in the garden. It is a place that brings so much joy to us, our neighbors, and clients.
In addition to the health aspects of gardening, both mental and physical, we love how a beautiful garden can brighten up anyone’s day. We are pleased to help clients get the most out of their outdoor spaces.
